Bank sand comes out of two pits we own in southeast Fort Bend County. It is natural pit sand, dug from the sand bank and sold unwashed. A little clay and silt ride along with it, which is why it firms up when it is worked. Around the Gulf Coast this is the everyday fill and leveling sand. Crews use it to raise low ground and to bed pipe. It also smooths a lot before sod or concrete goes down. We dig it, we load it, and our tandem dump trucks haul it to your job.
There are two ways to buy sand from us. We deliver by the load on our own tandem trucks, or you bring your trucks and load at the pit. Our excavators load, and load tickets are written at the pit as trucks go out. Builders, pool companies, plumbers and utility contractors buy sand this way. So do concrete crews, landscapers, haulers, ranch owners and homeowners with acreage. If your pad also needs select fill and sandy loam for pads, it comes off the same property. One order covers both materials.

Bank sand does the plain work on a site. It fills low ground and brings a yard up to grade. Utility crews use it to bed and cover pipe, because fine sand packs in around the line. It also lays under sod and flatwork as a smooth base. Builders blend it with select fill on pads where the plans call for a sandier mix. It drains better than clay, so water moves through it instead of standing. On gumbo ground that matters more than most people expect.
Names on a price list move around from yard to yard. Some suppliers call the same material fill sand or yard sand. Bank sand is not a graded product with a spec sheet, so the fines change from pit to pit. That is why we ask what you are building before anything gets loaded. If an engineer wrote a line for the material, read it to us and we will say whether ours matches. Sand that misses the spec costs you the load and the labor to move it twice.
Most sand around Houston reaches the job through a broker. The broker buys from a pit, hires a truck and resells the load. We are the pit. Our excavators dig the sand and our drivers run it out. That keeps the price tied to the material and the haul distance. It also keeps the schedule in one place. When a builder calls in the morning, trucks can often roll the same day. The same fleet handles material hauling and haul off on jobs where we are not the supplier.
Volume is what the pits are built for. Large excavators load trucks through the day, and on big jobs we load at night too. Orders here start in the tens of loads and climb into the hundreds. We have kept that pace on solar sites covering thousands of acres. If you run your own trucks, back them under the excavator and load at the pit. A ticket goes with every load that leaves. Contractors building house pads and commercial pads order sand load by load as the grade comes up.
Our pits sit in southeast Fort Bend County, so the short hauls are close. Needville, Guy, Rosharon, Damon and Richmond are all a quick run. We go further out along Highway 36, US 59 and SH 288. That takes in Boling, Lane City, Wharton, El Campo and Blessing, and down toward Lake Jackson. Haul distance is the biggest piece of what a load costs. A job twenty minutes from the pit prices better than one an hour out. We also handle excavation work around Richmond when the sand is part of a bigger scope.
Give us the yardage and the delivery address and we can price it. If you do not know the yardage, give us the area and the depth. Length times width times depth in feet, divided by 27, gives cubic yards. Add a little for settling, because sand tightens up when it is rolled. Sand for a yard leveling job and sand for a hundred load fill price differently, so tell us the size. Once the sand is down, land leveling and drainage grading is the next step on most sites.

(281) 750-6510From the first look at the ground to the last pass of the grade, here is exactly how it goes.
We meet you at the property and read the job off the ground itself: what is growing, where water sits, how trucks and excavators get in. Big dirt work prices off what is really out there.
You get a free quote with a real number and a real plan: what gets dug or cleared, how many loads move, where the dirt comes from or goes. It holds unless the scope changes.
The equipment shows up when we said. Excavators dig, trucks run in rotation, and on deadline jobs we run shifts around the clock until the volume is moved.
The last pass matters as much as the first load. Pads compacted and holding elevation, ponds shaped and ready for water, ground graded so it drains. We look at the finished work with you before we leave.
